Children don't start wars.
But they are among those most harmed by them. Now through January 6, 2027, your gift will be doubled.
Nearly half of all people killed or injured by landmines and unexploded bombs are children. These weapons lie hidden in fields, rubble and roadsides long after ceasefires are declared. In Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Ukraine and Laos, children face that danger every day just walking to school or playing outside.
MAG finds and destroys landmines and unexploded bombs so families can safely return to their homes, schools and farmland. Where clearance isn’t yet possible, our risk education teaches children to recognize deadly items and report them.
In Syria, Mohammed, 10, and his brother Azziz, 5, picked up what they thought was a toy in the rubble. It exploded. Both boys were gravely injured, and their brother Hasan did not survive.
And this end of year, a group of MAG supporters has committed to match every donation to Children Don’t Start Wars, up to $60,000. Give by January 6 and your gift goes twice as far.
Every new conflict that erupts leaves a new generation of hidden weapons.
Help us get to each one before a child does.
