MAG US is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors – The Honorable Julieta Valls Noyes, G. Scott DeWitt and Brett Fetterly. Their collective breadth and depth of experience will help steward the strategic direction of MAG US and its Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) programs.

The Honorable Julieta Valls Noyes had a storied career as a member of the Senior Foreign Service, eventually becoming Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration in 2022, after serving as US Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia. Valls Noyes also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy to the Holy See, and has also led the Foreign Service Institute as Acting director. A graduate of Wellesley College, Ambassador Noyes has a master’s degree from the National Defense University. 

G. Scott DeWitt is a veteran special forces commander with deep experience in international relations, currently serving as Executive Director, Security Cooperation, for Forge Group, LLC, a global solutions provider working with a wide range of defense and security departments of the United States government. A former Detachment Commander and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer for the Green Berets, DeWitt later served as Senior Country Director, Southeast Asia, in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon. Adding to his depth of experience with the US military, DeWitt holds an MBA from Virginia Tech, an MA in International Studies from the University of South Carolina, and a BS in Education from The Citadel. 

Brett Fetterly brings a broad range of policy and political expertise, currently as Principal of The Asia Group, LLC, a strategic advisory firm in Washington, DC. Fetterly previously served as the principal advisor on foreign, defense, and national security policy issues for US Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE), as well as in the US Department of Energy as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Secretary. Fetterly also held policy roles with the Republican National Committee and the Perry for President campaign, and is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and Regis University.
